Friday Freebie - Windswept by Ann Macela

This weekend's Free Read is a book I am really looking forward to adding to my Kindle, Ann Macela's Windswept. This book won the Romantic Times Reviewers' Choice Award for Best Romance, Small Press, 2008. Windswept is a standalone contemporary with an historic twist that has garnered several great reviews and sounds like a fascinating read.

In its history, Windswept Plantation has been many things to many people. To the Jamison family, it has been the ancestral home since 1830. To historian Barrett Browning, it is a repository of correspondence, journals, and stories which can lead to publications, promotions, and success in her academic career. To venture capitalist Davis Jamison, all these documents are a pain in the neck, since he must preserve them for history, while guarding his heritage. To Davis’s cousin Lloyd, the papers hold a horrible secret, the revelation of which will ruin them all.

Historian Barrett wants to bare the facts--all of them--to the light of day. Falling in love with the owner of the documents is not in her plans. Davis wants to solve the family mystery while protecting its good name. His cousin’s desperate fixation on hiding secrets and Davis’s intense attraction to Barrett both surprise him.

A secret will out, however, and it’s found in the journal of the first Jamison plantation mistress. Hiding the truth brings Barrett to a difficult choice: success with her career or a life with Davis. Revealing the truth brings Davis to an equally hard decision: ruin the family reputation or risk all to have Barrett forever.

I am also looking forward to checking out Ann Macela's six ebook release of the print versions of her award winning The Magic Series about a group of people who can cast spells to help them with their everyday jobs. Wouldn't you like to have an ability that would help you type faster, make accurate change, fix the plumbing, or grow flowers and vegetables? Or whatever it is that you do? And these people, who call themselves practitioners, are guaranteed to find their soul mates. Ready or not, and whether or not they want one at that particular moment. As the series progresses, the magic gets more complicated and so do the relationships. Included in the series are the last two never before published titles.

Review Contest

From now until May 1st I am having a review contest. Everyone who submits a review of one of my books to Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Goodreads will get a discount code for a free copy of any of my other books (your pick) or my next release if you have already read all my current books.. I will pick one grand prize winner for a $10 gift card of your choice from either Amazon or Barnes and Noble. Every review you submit increases your chances of being a winner.

I don't care what rating you give me as long as you comment in the review about why you felt the book deserved that rating. I'd also greatly appreciate it if you would be nice enough to like or agree to the tags on my titles. Those simple things really help add to a book being more popular on search engines.

Please feel free to send me a friend request on Goodreads. I like to see what everyone else is reading.

Just email me the review link to jezebeljorge (at) to enter. Or leave the link here as a comment with a way for me to get back in touch with you.

Freebie Friday

Today's free read is my own creation - Wicked Dreams.

This is a Ring Dreams Snippet with two short stories that play on the love triangle between Odessa, William, and Dinera.

In Stealing My Heart Odessa goes to William's crypt in the St. Louis cemetery to cast a spell to bring her beloved back from the other side, even if only for one more night of passion.

In Wicked Dinera spends a Samhain with Rosette consorting to cast a spell to produce a female DeFliehr heir. That red haired temptress turns out to be Rowan, the anti-heroine of Headlocks & Hexes.

There is also an excerpt from Desire where Odessa seduces a brokenhearted Billy Dalton.

Author Terri Grimes is trying to raise money for Lindsay McKeever, a young mother who lost her fingers and toes from TSS. She is donating 100% of the proceeds of Now I Lay Me Down to Die to the Lindsay McKeever Care Fund.

She was released from the hospital March 13th and has to have care 24 hours a day. She is unable to walk, or take care of herself in any way, not to mention the care she needs for her children. With no insurance Lindsay needs help to pay for physical therapy to learn to walk again and to do small things like feed herself, etc. A care fund has been set up for her by US Bank in Iowa and a paypal account for donations. She shares her amazing journey on a facebook page set up for her called “Lindsay McKeever Care Fund.”

Now thru April 30th, paranormal romance author Terri Grimes will be donating 100% of the proceeds from both the print and ebook version of Now I Lay Me Down To Die to the Lindsay McKeever care fund. Help a deserving young woman and have a good read at the same time.

The Rebellious Princess Chooses Two Lovers

Carolyn Rosewood's latest release a Naughty Fairy Tale - The Rebellious Princess Chooses Two Lovers - is now available from Evernight Publishing.

Blurb from Evernight:

In a post-apocalyptic world where medieval kingdoms have once again evolved, Princess Cadence is forced to choose only one lover, and he must be a real Prince.

Dominic of the Northern Free Zone received a Royal Invitation to journey to the New West Dominion and meet Princess Cadence by mistake. He’s not a real Prince at all. Still, he isn’t about to pass up a chance to meet Cadence, who it’s rumored can please beyond imagination in bed.

Cadence turns out to be more than Dominic bargained for, both in and out of the bedroom. When he realizes Ethan, one of the Royal Gardeners, has worshipped her from afar for years, he invites the servant to join them in the Princess’s bedchamber.

But what happens when Dominic’s true identity is revealed, and the King and Queen find out their daughter has bedded a servant?

Be Warned: menage sex (MFM), anal sex, spanking.

Odessa laughed at the warning since she's a fan of all of the above. I suspect I'll find she'll have downloaded this one onto the Kindle before I have a chance to finish my current read.

If you've not read Carolyn's Seduced By A Demon Series you're missing out on some hot and sexy paranormal adventure. This is one of my favorite series and a wicked fun read.

Friday Freebies

Evernight Publishing currently has two free stories to steam up your ereader.

First, we have the fabulous Georgia Fox with A Bolt From The Blue.

Alix likes her secrets, but one of them is about to draw her out of hiding and make her face a few facts about her life. He's someone she's only chatted with online, yet he already knows more about Alix than any other man she's ever encountered. For some reason she's told him more than she should and when the voice in her head asks what the hell she's doing, she has no answer to give. Nothing can explain the nature of this unusual relationship or why she feels so close to a stranger. Until they finally come face to face and discover that lightening can strike in the same place twice.

Be Warned: anal sex, public exhibition. (Who doesn't love a little public exhibition?)

Next, we have the amazing Alexandra O'Hurley with Going Berserk.

A Berserker Mate's Story - A free vacation with a couple of newlyweds turns out to not be such a great idea. Kara is a third wheel and wanders down the boardwalk to find solace to her boredom. Adventure soon finds her in the form of a fortune-telling witch who captures her and holds her hostage. Apart from his pack, Jakob is a Berserker seeking to find himself. Never in his wildest dreams does he imagine he'd also find his mate. The fact she's a Swartska hostage is not acceptable. Jakob struggles to free his woman by freeing the beast he's fought to control for years. Once she sees what he really is, will she accept him as her own?

It is recommended you read this FREE short story which bridges Night of the Dragon, book 1 and Beauty and her Beasts, book 2.

I've already downloaded both stories and can't want to read them. If you have free read and would like it mentioned on Freebie Friday please email me at jezebeljorge (at)

Full Moon In Virgo

Photo from

To see a World in a Grain of Sand,
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And Eternity in an hour.
~William Blake

This is one of the most impactive full moons, and not just because today is my birthday. On this day there is a grand trine in Earth signs. A fortifying energy three-way with Mars in Virgo retrograde, Taurus in Jupiter, and Pluto in Capricorn. This is when all the little Pisces fishes will begin to reap what they have sown.

It's a day to leave the past behind and bring into places things to better impact your health. For me this means going Gluten free. Odessa swears if I go on a diet of raw and unprocessed foods that my psychic abilities will skyrocket. I'm going to call her out on it and a give this a try.

This is a time to break free, move on and leave the past behind. Embrace your fears by packing them up and bringing them with you. This is a moon of expression. Don't hold back. Say it and put it out there for the world. What a wonderful full moon for a writer. I downloaded Scrivener today to keep my creative juices flowing.

The rain outside my balcony window bodes a cleansing. For me this holds true in both body as well as in spirit.

Blessed Be...
