Moon of Cancer

The full moon of Cancer brings about an intensity of emotions like no other. 

Some Pagans consider this a cosmic Mother's Day. It is a time to honor those who gave us life and spend time with close friends and family.

The crab teaches us the importance of protecting and tending to one's self. That's why New Year's Resolutions are made around this moon.

I really like the idea in my Llewellyn's Witches' Datebook 2012 of taking a healing bath. I always toss in a handful of Epson salt and add some scented oils to my bathwater.

While soaking you can reflect on upcoming challenges and manifest a plan to tackle the new year. The salt will draw the toxins from your body to leave you refreshed and ready to embrace the changes that are to come.
